Knight Nation,

TheHouse settlement is now fully in effect, and universities nationwide can share up to $20.5 million with student-athletes, with this amount growing by 4% each year. This marks a historic turning point in how institutions support the student-athletes who represent them on the field, in the classroom, and within the community.

In March, UCF boldly advanced by launching the Competitive Success Fund, a revenue-sharing initiative housed within the ChargeOn Fund. This fund strengthens our department’s ability to recruit, retain, and develop elite student-athletes (more details in our announcement: https://ucfknights.com/news/2025/3/18/revenue-share-update-ucf-athletics-launches-competitive-success-fund-to-strengthen-student-athlete-support).

Thanks to the generous support of Knight Nation, combined with increased revenues from ticketing, sponsorships, and the Big 12, UCF athletics made the strategic decision to fully fund the maximum amount allowed under the House settlement guidelines for 2025-26. We also expanded scholarship support for Olympic Sports, ensuring a broad, comprehensive investment across all programs. UCF athletics remains committed to fully funding revenue share at the maximum level for 2026-27.

Your ongoing, recurring contributions to the Competitive Success Fund (https://www.givecampus.com/s/8fitp5) are crucial to maintaining this level of support. Fully funding the maximum amount each year relies on collective dedication, and we are deeply grateful for every donor who makes this possible.

While department-generated support is essential, we recognize that to maximize our opportunities at the highest level, we must continue to strengthen Knight Nation and Orlando’s business community. Together, we can elevate our programs even further.

Beyond the capped $20.5 million in institutional support, student-athletes have the chance to earn third-party NIL compensation above the cap, pending approval from the College Sports Commission (https://www.collegesportscommission.org/nil/). These opportunities allow athletes to partner with companies, brands, and organizations to grow their personal platforms and maximize earnings off the field.

How Businesses Can Get Involved:

Orlando’s business community plays a key role in expanding NIL opportunities for UCF student-athletes. More than 50 partners—such as Orlando Health, NOBULL, Addition Financial, Carl Black, and Miller’s Ale House—have already connected with UCF Athletics to create sponsorships, digital content, appearances, and fan-focused campaigns.

Our goal is to welcome 50 additional corporate partners into our network to advance the future of UCF Athletics while aligning with your business strategy across three main tracks:

  • Corporate Partnership: Becoming a corporate partner through UCF Sports Properties provides access to powerful marketing platforms for your brand through UCF athletics gameday assets and multimedia channels. When paired with an NIL deal, you can amplify exposure by leveraging both UCF and athlete assets.
  • Corporate Donor: Includes tailored philanthropic opportunities for partners seeking community impact or brand visibility through NIL. Members receive enhanced ticket and parking access, special events, and direct support for student-athletes.
  • Athlete Partnership: We can connect you directly with a student-athlete for genuine, third-party NIL opportunities (subject to CSC/NIL Go approval).

Third-party NIL can shape programs for the next decade. UCF is uniquely positioned to lead nationally, given Orlando’s global business climate, our innovative university environment, and our rising national profile. We invite your business to consider one or a blend of these avenues to provide meaningful ways to elevate UCF Athletics while aligning with the energy of Knight Nation. Please complete this interest form (https://ucfknights.com/nil-corporate-partnership-interest-form) and a staff member will reach out.

Knight Nation has always been our greatest competitive advantage—bold, innovative, and ready to Charge On. Thank you for believing in and supporting our mission, for investing in our student-athletes, and for helping secure the future of UCF Athletics.

Go Knights, Charge On!

Terry Mohajir, Vice President and Director of Athletics
